Hi! I am Yasmine. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Human-Centered Computing at Georgia Tech. I am a member of the TILES Lab where I work with my advisor, Dr. Jessica Roberts. My research investigates how people learn and interact with technologies to inform the design of interactive learning interventions and environments. My dissertation work focuses on promoting public AI literacy through productive failure and game-based learning approaches.

I received my M.S. degree in Computer Science and Applications with a focus on Human Computer Interaction from Virginia Tech, where I studied online communities as part of the Crowd Intelligence Lab under Dr. Kurt Luther. I completed my B.S. in Computer Science at Virginia Tech, with a minor in Industrial Design.

In my free time, I enjoy reading and watching science fiction works, Latin dancing, and charcoal drawing.
